CHQ FREE MEDICAL CAMPS
Hospital arranged free medical camps in rural area of the Province and also in CHQ where hospital check more then 1000 to 1500 patients in each camps and give them free medicine and consultancy.
In the year of 2004
HEALTHY BABY SHOW 2004
Hospital arranged a Healthy Baby Show 2004, Begum Governor of Balochistan Mrs. Ghazala Awais Ghani and other attended the Show which was very successful. All the registered babies participated in the program along with their mothers & other members of the family.

In the year of 2003
A Seminar on “Good Laboratory Services in Management of Patients” was arranged, consultants/GPs and other attended the Seminar which was very successful
The 2nd Training Workshop for Teachers on Childhood Development & Education was conducted, workshop duration was 3 days, 19 participants from different schools attended the workshop. On last day certificate distribution ceremony was held in CHQ premises.
VISITS OF THE STUDENTS:
Beacon House School System Quetta visited the hospital.
Students of Iqra University Quetta visited the hospital.
Students of Balochistan University of Information Technology& Management Sciences visited the hospital.
In the year of 2002
1st Training Workshop for Teachers on Childhood Development & Education in November 2002. Workshop duration was 3 days, and 22 participants attended the workshop. On last day certificate distribution ceremony was held in CHQ premises, print media & electronic media gave the press coverage of the workshop.
Visit of Principals related to School Health Services in July 2002. More then 22 Principals from different schools participated in this activity. They visited the hospital & appreciated the Management for such a nice services, for the student of the City.
Visit of the students of Beacon House School System Quetta in June 2002. The students of the Beacon House School, visit the CHQ in June 2002, they appreciate the cooperation of the Management, and like the hospital services.
In the year of 2000-2001
A Seminar on Physiotherapy was held on April 2000 in CHQ.
A Seminar on Infection Control Program was held on September 2000 in CHQ.
A Seminar was held on Congo Virus in September 2000.
Training & Workshops
Four-Day workshop on "Hospital Governance and Management" jointly by CHQ & EPOS in June 2000.
A workshop on Managerial Skills held in June, 2001 in CHQ.
School Going Children Activity
In March 2001, hospital was arranged price distribution ceremony for School Going Children's. In which we invite the First position holder students from class 1 to 5th from different schools of the Quetta city. the tremendous response by the public was received. 245 students & their teachers/parents were invited, the Chief Guest of the occasion was Honorable Governor of Balochistan Justice (R) Mr. Ameer ul Mulk Mengal.
Healthy Baby Shows
As per marketing plan, arrangement of social events was envisaged as a marketing strategy, to enhance image of institution, awareness about the services, & educate people in regard to child bearing, rearing & health issues. This will help the institution to remain in public focus all the time with an image of delivering health care services in an equitable, affordable, accessible & cost effective manner. In this context, the Children Hospital Quetta arranged Healthy Baby Show First time in October 1999 & Second time in June 2001 and Third time in September 2004. The objectives of the show were: -
To create awareness amongst the participants about nutritional needs of a child at various stages of growth.
To create awareness amongst the participants about the importance of regular vaccination program.
To create awareness about the services of the hospital, its standard & quality in general public.
To promote CHQ, as an exemplary institution, in the field of child health care services.
A team of expert was formulated comprising of child specialist of CHQ & a specialist from out side having considerable experience in child care. The team was presented with the results of registration. The criteria adopted for selection of healthy baby is as under: -
Height of baby in accordance to age.
Weight of baby in accordance to height.
Having completed his/her initial round of vaccination.
Exclusive breast-fed in first four months of life.
Appropriate weaning started in time specially with home made weaning food.
All the registered babies participated in the program along with their mothers & other members of the family. All the adult members were given CHQ brochures, introduced with the services of the hospital, knowledge of nutritional importance of growing babies & the role of CHQ etc. They were also introduced with the skilled professionals of the hospital during their interaction with them at the time of registration of babies. They were also educated on the topics of
Health & Hygienic of babies.

Importance of Vaccination.
